Last Rock and Roll Show jacket artwork

'Capt Gardner W. Engel', (right) a jacket commissioned by his son to commemorate his father's service in WWII. In addition to the painting of Capt. Engel's P-47 in formation with other members of his 359th FS, we created the squadron patch on a 5 inch leather round, for placement right below the authentic WWII Id tag (see photo, below). As the Fighter Group (356th, 8th AF) had no insignia, we created a bar of the blue/red diamonds that decorated this fighter groups' nose cowlings on thier later P-51Ds.

This jacket will be sent to the museum at Martlesham Heath, England, where the 359th FS were based, while Mr. Engel wears a duplicate design we created for his lambskin jacket (not shown)
